Among other things, Erasmus consists of bringing together young people from different parts of the world.

After an erasmus experience, a young person can go home with one of the following conclusions:

  1. "I found lots of similarities with people from other places, my needs and struggles are not so different then the ones of the people from anywhere on the world."
  2. "I found new perspectives of life that enriched my experience. How the other young people shared their own experiences helped me learn more about life."

Through joining the erasmus world, a young person can experience many things. One can struggle with different feelings, but through erasmus, you can find out that the basic needs are mostly the same no matter the place you were born. It makes you feel the you are part of a community, that is wider then your own country.

On the other hand, erasmus brings you together with people of different cultures. Through the activities, like intercultural events or mixed team activities or even the socialization moments, you learn about different practices then yours. These can be the language, traditions, habits, specific music, traditional cuisine and so on. On top of this, it can be the different perspectives of the individuals you meet.

In conclusion, the erasmus projects are an important experience when it comes to the development and training as a citizen of the world.
